Experience the best of the Stockholm Archipelago with our guides
This 3-day guided kayak tour lets you explore the myriad of islands and islets of the Stockholm Archipelago together with our nature-loving kayak guides. We provide top-quality kayaking and camping equipment and a food menu for eco-lovers inspired by Swedish outdoor classics.
Together we get to know our part of the archipelago, the nature, and of course each other. Throughout the trip, our guides will teach you kayak technique, navigation, how to cook food in the outdoors, and other nuggets of knowledge that come from years of living and working on the water.
This is the most immersive way to experience the Stockholm Archipelago. Your guide handles the logistics, the cooking, and the route. You just paddle, explore, and enjoy.

Sample itinerary for the guided 3-day kayak adventure
Every trip is shaped by the weather, the group, and the conditions on the water. Here is what a typical 3-day guided adventure looks like.
-
Pick-up, introduction, and first paddle
We collect you at 09:15 from Hotel Downtown Camper by Scandic (Brunkebergstorg 9) in central Stockholm and drive to our kayak centre at Stavsnäs Vinterhamn, about 45 minutes from the city.
At the centre, your guides welcome you and the group gets to know each other. You repack your belongings into dry bags, load the kayaks, and your guides walk you through everything you need to know: kayak technique, safety, navigation, the Right of Public Access, sustainability, and bird protection.
After the introduction, you head out onto the water together. Your guides lead the way through the inner archipelago towards your first campsite on a secluded island. Once you land, the group sets up camp together and your guides cook dinner on the rocks as the sun sets over the Baltic.
-
A full day of island-hopping
After a cooked breakfast by the water, you pack up camp and set off for a full day of kayaking. Your guides choose the route based on the weather and the group’s energy, weaving between islands, stopping for swimming, and exploring skerries that most visitors never see.
Lunch is prepared on a rocky island along the way. In the afternoon, you paddle to your second campsite. There may be time for a hike on one of the larger islands, a visit to a wilderness sauna, or simply an evening swim before dinner.
Your guides cook another proper meal, and the group settles in for the night under the open sky.
-
Final paddle and return to Stockholm
The last morning begins with breakfast on the island. After packing up, you paddle back towards the kayak centre, taking in the last stretches of the archipelago along the way.
You arrive back at the centre by approximately 14:30, where you can unpack, shower, and use the sauna before the transfer departs at 15:30. You are back in central Stockholm by around 16:30.
If you need to return earlier, reliable public transport is available, or we can pre-book a taxi. Please discuss this with us beforehand.
